UK Mens's Shed Association - Shed Community Project of the Year 2019

Swanwick Men's Shed were awarded Shed Community Project of the Year for their work in supporting local community projects, in particular, Rowthorne Home for Older people garden project, Lighthouse Charity Shops, Promises Day Nursery, local schools, Girl Guides and Parish Council. The picture shows Frank and Pat Seals receiving the award from Jo Phillips of the Royal Voluntary Service

November 2023 the shed was awarded the golden glue award.

October 2019, the shed was awarded the Derbyshire Live Local Heroes Community Building award.

Golden Glue Awards

Swanwick Men's Shed were the proud winners of a Golden Glue Awards 2023, the first of its kind, that took place on Sunday 12th November in Heanor and was hosted by local mischief makers Maison Foo Theatre.

‘We are Make/Shift’ are working with and promoting communities in Amber Valley all the to make, do, create, repair, grow and share.
