My Shed Journey

Having worked with wood throughout my career it was something I missed when I retired, but the arthritis in my hands meant that I could no longer do some of the precision woodwork that I had previously done.

Then when my wife Pam passed away I really needed something to keep me occupied, A friend suggested that I join the Men’s Shed, and I am very grateful to that friend for suggesting it.

I was very pleased to find that the shed had an outdoor work area where I could work with others on woodwork projects. I am now part of the ‘A Team’ an elite group of woodworkers (not really) that can handle all types of weather. It is, in my opinion, the best job at the shed.

More recently the shed has started to have more social evenings which are also great fun even if they are indoors.

Thanks for reading.
